Briar Cliff University Welcomes New Vice President
for Institutional Advancement
SIOUX CITY, Iowa –
Briar Cliff University announces that Jeff LaFavor has been
hired as the vice president for Institutional Advancement.
LaFavor’s responsibilities include managing all areas of
fundraising, alumni programming and coordinating projects with
the University’s marketing and public relations staff.
“In his new role, Jeff
brings a high degree of skill and commitment that will
strengthen and support Briar Cliff’s mission of educational
excellence and service to the community,” said Beverly Wharton,
BCU president.
“I am honored to return
to Briar Cliff in this capacity,” said LaFavor. “As an alumnus
and former employee, I know Briar Cliff’s history and have a
passion for the University’s future.”
LaFavor comes to Briar
Cliff most recently from Assessment Technologies Institute in
Overland Park, Kan., where he was a client service and sales
representative. Previously, he served as assistant director of
admissions at Midland Lutheran College and associate director of
admissions at Briar Cliff University.
He received a
bachelor’s degree from Briar Cliff and a master’s degree from
the University of Phoenix. He and his wife, Kathy, have a
seven-month-old son, Kaleb.
Briar Cliff University is a Catholic
